Prudent Rx, Inc. was formed in 1994 to provide independent ancillary products and services to organizations within the pharmaceutical industry. Our key products and services include audit programs, program design / benefit management, as well as general and pharmacy systems consulting.

Prudent Rx is able to be impartial; having no interests other than meeting the needs of our clients. Our team is comprised of recognized industry leaders with in-depth experience in all facets of the prescription benefit management industry including Information Systems, Plan Design/Implementation, Formulary Administration, Pharmacy Audit, Provider Pharmacy Networks, Member Services, Claims Processing, Marketing and Management.

Many individuals were involved in a variety of roles related to the startup and continued operation of Prescription Health Services (PHS) from 1978 through early 1994. PHS was the largest privately held and the third largest overall Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) company in the United States at the time Caremark purchased the company in 1991.
